If You Slip Under
If you slip under the last breath I'll hold in my lungs,
is heavier than forever with each second above you.
I am lost in the "never",
conscious between these memories,
grey silken figures brazen hang like willows.
My heart breaks slow forever.
You're carried across the stone cold lake,
in a fever of hunger that you could never escape.
There is no leaving now,
there is no other sound.
If you slip under your voice will echo in silence.
And ease to nothing.
Always alone is the only ending.
